July 13 VOICE Swim Party

On Tuesday, July 13 we will meet (for our monthly meeting) at Telephone Pioneer Park Swimming Pool (1946 W Morningside, Phoenix). We will swim from 1 to 4 PM. We are very excited because we have the Midwestern occupational therapy students coming to assist us. What a great way to cool off in this heat.

We’ll have root beer floats as our treats. You don’t want to miss this meeting!

Annual Chili Cook-Off and Holiday Party – 2009

Please join us for our annual chili cook-off and holiday party on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The event will be held at the LDS Church at 4901 W Union Hills Dr. (please use the east entrance).

Last year we had a great time – lots of good food (as usual), we had a gift exchange and played some games.

June Diamondback Baseball Game

On June 11 a few members of VOICE attended the afternoon Diamonbacks/San Francisco Giants baseball game. We had a great time. The Diamondbacks won the game (score was 2 to 1). The last couple of innings were the best.

At the end of the 4th inning we were able to honor June Olson. The Diamondback Organization allowed us to remember June on the big scoreboard.

Annual Picnic

Our next VOICE annual picnic is coming up on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 from 11 AM to 1:30 PM at Sahuaro Ranch Park (9802 North 59th Avenue, Glendale 85302). VOICE will provide hamburgers and hotdogs with all the trimmings as well as drinks . Everyone is invited – Hope you can join us!
